Information on working time is collected for employed persons. According to ILO definitions a person is considered to be employed if he or she worked for at least one hour in the reference week, or did not work due to holiday, illness, etc. but is normally in employment. Persons on long term absences as e.g. women on parental leave are included in the category of employed persons if they have a formal attachment to the job. The figures relating to part-time employment usually include persons on parental leave, for whom the most recent working time is recorded.
